How To Auto Publish Your Blog Feeds To Facebook?

In any given online campaign, automation is very important, especially automation on social media. Companies and individuals having their businesses, be it a simple revenue earning blog, or a large web hosting or product selling corporation, need social media interaction. It is estimated that around 75% of the consumers use social media to learn about products or services. Which is why most businesses have social media pages. Now, whenever these businesses update content on their blogs or websites, they also need to notify their social media followers about the latest updates. To do this, you would ordinarily have to share links to your new content on a social network, say Facebook. This is where automation comes in.

Wouldn’t it be great if all your updates are published on Facebook automatically? Automation can make life a lot easier. Not only will it ensure that none of your updates are left out, it will also save you time and effort. Additionally, it will keep the traffic flowing to your blog. How to automate your posts? You can do that using a free app for Facebook called RSS Graffiti.

What is RSS Graffiti?

It will only work if RSS feeds have been configured for your blog. It works for Fan Pages as well as Profiles, and you can set up multiple feeds (from multiple blogs) to be published on one or more pages. Considering that this is a fee app, it’s a must have for bloggers who use Facebook frequently.

How To Set Up RSS Graffiti for profiles?

First of all, you need to go to the RSS Graffiti app and grant it permission to access your information. Simply click on this link. RSS Graffiti For Facebook.
Once there, you will go through three more steps. First, RSS Graffiti will ask you for access to your profile. Then, it will ask for constant authentication for future reference. Then, you will need to allow it to publish on your profile.
Next is simple pointing to your blog or blogs which you want to add. Simply click on Add Feed and provide your blog URL, blog name, and feed URL. Once again, you will need to set up RSS feeds for your blog.
If you don’t know how to set up RSS feeds, don’t worry. Use a popular RSS feeder such as FeedBurner. CLick on the link and sign in with your Google Account. You will be guided through the rest.

How To Set Up RSS Graffiti for Fan pages?

This is quite similar to setting up RSS Graffiti for profiles. But first, you have to visit this page and select your fan pages from the left sidebar. If there is no such option, then you will first have to grant permissions to RSS Graffiti as we discussed earlier. You can select multiple fan pages as well.

Some things to remember

Although this app allows easy publishing to both profiles and fan pages, I would recommend you use it with profiles less often. Personal profiles do not have targeted followers. They might get annoyed at the constant and irrelevant-to-their-interests posts. Automate your fan pages only. Publish posts on your profile manually.
You might also want to review your post frequency. Too many posts and your fans will be annoyed. Publish no more than one post per day, or maximum two in some circumstances.
If you are having problems in auto publishing posts, chances are that your feeds are encountering errors. Try removing them from the app menu, and re-insert them. Else, check your RSS feeds for any errors.
