Win The War With Your Mind

Gabe Berman is changing lives.

I was fortunate to meet Gabe Berman through a mutual friend a couple of years ago. Little did I know that he would change my life, my perception of things, and help me to overcome PTSD in a way I never thought was possible. After much soul-searching, Gabe wrote a book entitled Live Like a Fruit Fly. Deepak Chopra says "In Live Like a Fruit Fly, Gabe Berman shares his recipe for living a more joyful, worthwhile, and abundant life in every way. A witty, entertaining, and insightful read." Deepak knows what time it is, and so does Gabe Berman. When you hear Gabe talk about his search for meaning, it's inspiring, raw and real.

I can say without a doubt that Gabe changed my life. He is an enlightened man who truly is invested in helping others. The reason Gabe wants to help people is because he's hit rock bottom and he knows how deep that cavern is. He lived through debilitating PTSD and came out the other side.
Because of that pain, he was able to heal and learn to help others. I can definitely say that Gabe helped me cope after I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. When I told him what my diagnosis was, he said "I don't think you're going to like what I have to say," which of course gave me anxiety. What he said next was one of the most profound things I have ever heard after I learned about my illness.
He said: "I don't think you should own the label of what you may have or not have; it doesn't define you."
That was empowering to me. What he was saying is that I am MORE than a diagnosis. I am Sarah Fader, and I have qualities that are unrelated to my mental illness. Gabe showed me the world beyond my neurosis, and for that, I am forever grateful to him. He demonstrated that I have the power to shift my thinking even in moments of intense pain and suffering. I have the ability to redirect my mind and take ownership of my reality.

Gabe talks about winning the war with your mind. He believes that upon knowing what is real and true about the nature of reality and our minds, we can live fuller lives. If he had not suffered in a profound way, he wouldn't be able to help others in the way that he does.
He was put on this planet to help others. I'm grateful for his guidance and support during a time when I needed it.
